Fantastic stay at Jesse's house in La Canada. Exactly what we needed and close to studios for meetings. Very responsive to needs and questions as they came up. Gyzell was a huge help and an absolute gem. Great retreat from the hustle and bustle of LA.

We had a great time at the "Front House" on this beautiful horse property!!! There are so many things to talk about it so I will list them in points: 1. The house itself is beautifully decorated; in a modern style. The photographs in each room were beautiful and each one gives you a glimpse of LA. Moreover, everything you need is there in the house for your convenience. For example, the kitchen had everything and anything, from pots and pans to spices. Although we practically ate out everyday, we did barbecue once and we had so much fun; beautiful weather, beautiful company and everything we needed in terms of utensils and equipment. We also had fresh lemonade a number of times; there was a terrific blender that made the most fantastic slush lemonade!!!! 2. That cold lemonade was usually sipped in the beautifully kept garden. If you have children (and even if you don't) I recommend sitting out there for a while because you will get to see all sorts of animals/insects in the garden itself (rabbits, squirrels, butterflies, etc.) and outside the gate you get to see some really beautiful horses being walked/ridden by their owners. 3. The area in which Shadow Hill is located in is very beautiful but rustic. We found out that the residents of Shadow Hill are very proud of the way they preserved the area. 4. The location of the house is really good. Within close proximity to the house: There are a number of places for good walks. I recommend the dam area. It is a 4min drive or about a 10-15 walk away from the house. A bit further away from the house: Many attractions (Warner Brothers Studio, Universal Studios, Disney, etc.) and (for shopaholics) a number of big outlets and malls (our favorite was Americanas at Glendale). 4. Regarding the people that were managing the property, Jesse provided everything we needed for easy access to the house. He even offered to help us with things to do in LA. There was also Gyzell, the house manager, who was awesome!!! You will love her the moment you meet her. She kinda reminded me of the Genie of the lamp. There was nothing we didn't need or ask for that she didn't get in a flash. Her personality was also another thing we loved about her. She really makes you feel the rental is your home away from home. There was really only one con: Because the house is on horse ranch property, you will get a visit by one or two daddy long legs. All in all, we spent a wonderful three weeks at the Front House.
